How does CareGeo track caregiver mileage?
Caregivers start a GPS-tracked drive between visits in the same CareGeo app they clock in with, or enter miles or odometer readings by hand. Each trip records the caregiver, date, distance, and purpose.
How does mileage reimbursement work in CareGeo?
Submitted trips flow to a review queue where the agency approves them. Approved mileage is valued at your per-mile rate, grouped into biweekly pay periods, and marked paid in bulk — with an undo. A report always shows exactly what is owed right now.
Why should mileage and EVV be in the same app?
Because it is the same person, the same phone, and the same workday. When the visit-verification app also captures the drive, caregivers do not maintain a second app or a paper log, agencies do not reconcile spreadsheets against timesheets, and reimbursement disputes mostly disappear.
Is caregiver mileage reimbursement taxable?
Reimbursement at or below the IRS standard mileage rate under an accountable plan (business purpose, substantiated miles, paid separately from wages) is generally non-taxable.
